To improve the security of your essentry user account, we recommend enabling two-factor authentication (2FA).
When 2FA is active, you must enter a one-time code from an authenticator app in addition to your password when logging in.

Prerequisites

• An authenticator app installed on your smartphone
  • Recommended: Microsoft Authenticator or Google Authenticator

How to Enable Two-Factor Authentication

1. Install an authenticator app on your smartphone. 
2. Log in to the essentry Dashboard
3. Navigate to Your Data > Password & 2FA.
4. Click on Set up two-factor authentication.
5. Follow the instructions on the setup screen.

Result

• Your essentry account is protected by two-factor authentication

• A one-time code from your authenticator app is required at login

• 2FA can be managed or removed later from the same settings page (depending on permissions)
