This article covers how to print name badges for your guests from the essentry dashboard — both reprinting for guests who have already checked in, and printing in advance for upcoming visitors.
Note: If your kiosk has a printer, name badges are printed automatically for each guest as soon as they are authorized to enter. The steps below apply when you need to print or reprint a badge manually.
Reprinting a badge for a checked-in guest
The image above shows how you can reprint name badges from the essentry dashboard.
- From the essentry Dashboard, click Reception on the left-hand side of the screen.
- Click On Site to see guests who have already checked in.
- Click on the guest you would like to print a badge for.
- In the top-right of the guest detail view, use the Printer Selection dropdown to choose your target printer. Available options depend on your setup and may include:
- A kiosk or iPad printer at your entrance
- Local PC generates the badge in a new browser tab so you can print from your computer
- Click Print Badge. Your selected printer will now print the name badge.
Printing badges in advance for upcoming guests
You can also print badges before a guest arrives — useful for preparing badges ahead of time for large groups or VIP visitors.
- From the essentry Dashboard, click Reception.
- Click Upcoming to see guests with scheduled appointments.
- Click on the guest you would like to prepare a badge for.
- Select your target printer from the Printer Selection dropdown.
- Click Print Badge.
