You can connect Microsoft Entra ID (formerly Azure Active Directory) to essentry to integrate user management and calendar-based guest invitations into your existing Microsoft environment.
Connecting Entra ID enables the following use cases:
User synchronization and single sign-on (SSO)
Synchronize employees from Entra ID and allow them to log in to the essentry dashboard (app.essentry.com) using their Microsoft credentials.Outlook calendar integration
Synchronize meeting invitations from Outlook with essentry. This is ideal for employees who do not use the essentry dashboard and prefer to create guest invitations directly in Outlook.
After connecting Entra ID, you can decide which of these integrations you would like to activate.
Connecting Entra ID to essentry
To begin, log in to essentry with a Super Admin account.
Navigate to Company > Integrations
Click Connect Microsoft
You will be redirected to a Microsoft login page.
You must log in using an Entra ID administrator account, as administrator consent is required to grant the necessary permissions.
Once the permissions have been confirmed, you will be redirected back to essentry.
Available Microsoft Integrations
After successfully connecting Entra ID, the Microsoft integration will appear in essentry.
From here, you can configure the following synchronization options:

Entra ID Groups
Used for synchronizing employees and managing access to the essentry dashboardRequires additional permissions

Outlook Rooms
Used for synchronizing calendar events and invitations from OutlookRequires additional permissions
These options are displayed within the Microsoft integration tile.
Disconnecting the Integration
If you want to remove the Microsoft integration from essentry:
Open the Microsoft integration in Company > Integrations
Click Disconnect Integration
This will disconnect Entra ID from essentry and stop all related synchronizations.
