With this article we would like to introduce you to the different roles for essentry on site. A clear allocation of roles is essential for optimal onboarding and to ensure a smooth flow of day-to-day business.
- Super admin:
The super admin is the user with all rights in the system. In addition to all rights of the other roles, the system administrator can also manage the local admin, create and administer locations and manage the company login and its settings.
- Local admin:
A Local Admin should always be located at the site itself. He has all rights for reception and employees and manages the devices and entrances on site.
- Reception desk:
The reception has access to the essentry dashboard. It is the direct contact for guests and can check and confirm them if necessary. It also has access to the guest list from the entrances assigned to it.
Employees can create appointments and invite guests. They have access to their appointments and guests (via the essentry dashboard or their own calendar).
A guest sees his own invitations and data.
In addition to the system roles, there should always be one person on site as the central contact person. This person can, but does not have to be the local admin and will receive training from us on the hardware side. If a problem should occur, this person can contact our support directly and if possible solve it directly. For serious problems, our customer service is available 24/7.
In addition, the local contact persons are also informed by us about updates and new releases.
