When appointments are created via Outlook or another calendar integration, all invited attendees may receive an essentry invitation email by default. This can include internal employees, room resources, or email distribution lists that do not need to register or check in.
To avoid unnecessary or confusing emails, essentry allows you to exclude specific email addresses or entire domains from receiving invitation emails.
Prerequisites
- A pre-processor integration that creates your invitations outside of the essentry Dashboard.
- Super Admin rights
How to Exclude Email Addresses from Invitations
- From the essentry Dashboard navigate to Company > Integrations
- Find the setting Exclude E-Mails from Invitations
- Add the emails that should be excluded into the list, separated by commas
- Click Save
Available Options
-
Exclude Individual Email Addresses
- Enter one or more email addresses, separated by commas:
john.doe@e-mail.de, jane.doe@e-mail.de
-
Exclude an Entire Domain
- To exclude all email addresses from a specific domain, use an asterisk (*) as a wildcard:
*@e-mail.de
This is recommended for internal company domains, room resources, or system accounts.
What Happens After Exclusion?
Excluded email addresses will not receive essentry invitation emails
Appointments are still created normally
Excluded addresses can remain listed as attendees in the calendar event
The setting applies globally to all calendar integrations
