How can I edit appointments as a host?

This article goes over how to manage appointments, as a host, in the essentry Dashboard. We'll go over the Appointments View, Adding and Removing Guests, as well as Cancelling Appointments. To edit an appointment, you must first navigate to the Appointments in the sidebar. The Appointments page is usually the default start page when you log in.

Editing an Appointment

Please note: You can only edit appointments that you have created in the essentry dashboard. All appointments that were created via an external integration (Google Calendar, Oulook Calendar) can only be edited on their respective external pages.

To edit an appointment, first select it in the list of your appointments. This will bring up a more detailed view of the appointment. In this detailed view, you can now review all the fields of the appointment and use the buttons next to each field to update the according to data.

How can I change the name, time, or date?

To change any details like the name, description, time or date of an appointment, please click the Edit Details button. Any changes will automatically be sent out via email to all of the guests.

How can I invite/uninvite guests?

You can add or remove guests from appointments, to get to this click on Edit Guests. This will bring up a dedicated view for guest management.

The image above shows how to get to the Edit Guests view along with a few ways to add and remove guests.

There are 2 ways to add guests to an appointment:

  • Choosing from a list of previous guests and clicking the Blue + symbol next to their name
  • Clicking the large Blue + symbol to add in a new Contact

To remove guests from the appointment, simply click on the arrow next to their name. 

Every change, either adding or removing guests from an appointment will trigger an email to that guest informing them of the change.

You can also resend invitation emails to either one or all guests on the guest list. Use the Paper Plane Button next to each guest. This button only displays when an email address is available for each guest.

How can I cancel an appointment?

You can also cancel an appointment altogether. When you do so, every invited guest will automatically receive a cancellation email and every invitation becomes invalid. Please note, that this action is irreversible.

If you wish to cancel an appointment, please click the Cancel Appointment button and confirm this action in the upcoming popup.
